Prof. LATEEF, Agbaje, attended Oyo State University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria (now Ladoke Akintola University of Technology) as one of the pioneer students to read Pure and Applied Biology. He obtained B. Tech (Hons), Second Class (Upper Division), M. Tech. in Biotechnology (Distinction), and Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology in 1997, 2001 and 2005 respectively.

Prof. LATEEF, Agbaje joined the services of his alma mater, as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Pure and Applied Biology in September, 1998, and rose to become a full Professor on October 1, 2013.

An astute researcher, Prof. Lateef has won several awards and grants within the University, and at national and international levels in his field of his endeavour. In 2013, he was adjudged the maiden winner of Prof. Oyewale Tomori National Prize for Young Scientists in Microbiology, which was awarded by The Nigerian Young Academy (NYA), an affiliate of The Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS). He has been listed among the top 2% scientists in the world by Elsevier B.V and Stanford University, USA since 2020, received the Vice-Chancellor’s award for outstanding scholarly publications and also commended by the Governing Council of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Nigeria.

Prof. Lateef has more than one hundred and sixty publications to his credit in reputable national and international Journals; and many of his articles have appeared in Journals with impact factors. His major research focus includes Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology and Nanobiotechnology, with particular reference to fermentation processes, enzyme technology, valorization of agrowastes, circular bioeconomy, and green synthesis of nanoparticles for diverse applications in the environment, health, agriculture and industrial fermentations. He is the lead editor of ‘Microbial Nanobiotechnology: Principles and Applications’, which was published by Springer Nature Singapore Pte. Ltd in 2021.

He is the Head of Nanotechnology Research Group (NANO+) in LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. This leading research group in nanotechnology in Nigeria with track record of publications organizes annual workshop and conference on nanotechnology since 2017.

Dr. ASAFA, Tesleem Babatunde obtained B. Tech. and two M.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) from LAUTECH Ogbomoso (2003), University of Ibadan (2007) and University College London (2008), respectively. He then proceeded to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran where he obtained PhD in 2013. He conducted his PhD research at imec/KU Leuven Belgium (2011-2013).

Dr Asafa won several awards including Shell Centenary Chevening Scholarship (2007), Singapore International Graduate Award (2009), King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals fellowship (2009), KACST-INTEL Consortium Center for Research Excellence in Nano-manufacturing Applications (2011). Dr Asafa was a visiting International Faculty Fellow at the Centre for International Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge USA under the MIT Empowering the Teachers fellowship from September to December 2015. National Multiplication Training on Internal Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development for Anglophone West Africa Higher Education Institutions (2019-2020). He was a visiting Professor at the University of Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia in 2016-2018. His paper won the third position during the national competition organized by the Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET) held in 2021. He was the best participant (scoring 98.7%) in the Development of University Law, a training program organized by the National Open University of Nigeria in 2022. His project was selected as one of the top-rated projects in the maiden edition of TetFair Innovation Lab (Abuja) in 2023.

Prof. Asafa joined the services of LAUTECH in 2005 as a Graduate Assistant and rose to full Professor in 2020. His areas of research include materials engineering, mechanical engineering, and nanotechnology. He has authored or co-authored over 60 journal papers, 25 conference papers, and two book chapters. He has also supervised more than 60 undergraduates, 10 M.Sc., and 2 Ph.D. students. Prof. Asafa has participated in more than 25 workshops/seminars/training and delivered over 25 invited lectures physically and virtually. He has also conducted intensive training on critical areas of education. Prof. Asafa is the Technical Editor of Nanotechnology Research Group and NANO PLUS, a specialized journal for publishing nano-based research founded by LAUTECH NANO. Besides, he is a reviewer for more than 20 journals.

Yekeen, Taofeek Akangbe is currently a Professor of ecotoxicology in the Department of Pure and Applied Biology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He had first degree in P/A Biology, LAUTECH (1998), M. Sc. in Ecology and Environmental Biology, University of Ibadan (2002) and Ph. D. in Zoology, LAUTECH (2009).

Besides, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Shantou University Medical College, Shantou, Guangdong, China (2011-2013) and has worked in the area of environmental assessment using different matrices including soil, dust, plants etc., to establish the potential impact of wastes resulting from anthropogenic activities.

In addition, he has carried out research in the area of pesticide and plant extract toxicity using different bioassays including Allium cepa and mice/rat sperm cell morphological assays. He has explored biochemical, haematological and histopathological parameters to evaluate toxicity of some environmental wastes on different organisms. He worked in collaboration with some foreign experts on the impact of electronic waste recycling on environmental matrices as well as on sensitive human population. Currently, his research focused on nanotechnology research, exploring different applications and their environmental friendliness.

He has over 65 publications to his credit in highly reputable peer-reviewed journals. He is the Financial Secretary of the Nanotechnology Research group (NANO+).

OLADIPO, Iyabo Christianah is a dedicated teacher and researcher in the area of Food and Industrial Microbiology. She graduated with B.Tech (Hons) in Pure and Applied Biology in 1998 from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria and later proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where she obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D in Food and Industrial Microbiology in 2002 and 2013 respectively. She is presently a Professor of Food and Industrial Microbiology in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. She teaches courses like Food Microbiology, Food Processing & Analysis, Industrial Microbiology, Enzyme Biotechnology, amongst others.

She won several awards and grants within the University and at international level in her field of endeavour. She won the 2009 TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship tenable at The Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, 2017 CAS-PIFI Postdoctoral Fellowship amongst others. The CSIR-TWAS Postgraduate fellowship Award was supported by grants IAP 001 of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India between 2010 and 2011. She won the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, LAUTECH Research Grant Supplement (Category B) in 2007, the CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Biotechnology Travel grant award to attend training/workshop in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

She published several articles in reputable journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her research activities are focused on food bio-safety and bio-augmentation. She has both undergraduate and post graduate students under her supervision. She has also attended and participated in several national and international conferences, workshops, trainings and symposia. She is the secretary of LAUTECH Nanotechnology Research Group

ADEBAYO, Elijah Adegoke (PhD) is an academic staff in the Department of Pure and Applied Biology, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He has B. Tech in Microbiology, M. Tech in Biotechnology and PhD in Microbiology in the same University. Some Awards and Distinctions won by Dr. Adebayo include Tugbileye Prize and Mr. & Mrs. Tunji Ige Adedoyin Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Biology, CSIR-TWAS (2009) Postgraduate Fellowship Award, West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) fellowship in University of Ghana (2012), LAUTECH Senate grant (2013), TETFund International conference grant (2013), CONACYT-TWAS (2013) Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mexico, TETFund Institution-based Research grant (2018) as PI, TETFund Institution-based Research grant (2020) as Co-researcher, Departmental/Faculty Commendation award at 2018/2019 and 2021/2022 Review Exercise.

Dr. Adebayo is an Industrial Microbiologist/Biotechnologist with expertise in Mushroom biotechnology and biomedical uses (antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumour), antibiotic resistance, molecular biology, nanobiotechnology. He is currently working on commercial cultivation of mushrooms using agrowaste, purification of wastewater using bioflocculant, biosynthesis of nanoparticles from mushrooms (Pleurotus spp.), Ficus opuntia-indica, Persea americana (Avocado) and their biomedical importance. He is currently exploring the potential of Ganoderma lucidum to produce natural products in the form of nutraceuticals.

Dr. Adebayo belongs to some reputable professional bodies and is a reviewer for national and international journals. He was Assistant Sectional Editor for Annals of Science and Technology (2019-2022), and Sectional Editor for Science Focus (2023 till date). He has authored sixty-nine (69) articles in reputable local and international journals. He has trained several undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also has over thirty (30) conference papers, nine chapters in the books, and forty-five registered accessions of microbes with NCBI (USA).

SANUSI, Yekeen Kolawole is a Professor of Renewable Energy Physics in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. He obtained B.Sc and M.Sc in Physics from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin Kwara State, Nigeria in 1996 and 2004 respectively. He obtained his PhD Degree in Solid State Physics Energy from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 2009. He joined the Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 2004 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose to position of Professor in October, 2016, and has extensive administrative experiences at Departmental, Faculty and University levels.

Sanusi area of research interests includes; Modelling and Parametric study of Photovoltaic Modules with some Physical Factors for Optimal Performance in a Tropical area; Optimization of Energy Yield Performance of Amorphous Silicon Photovoltaic System in a Tropical Station Using Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logic, Analysis on Degradation Mechanism of TiO2 Based Henna Dye Sensitized Solar Cell for Large Area Power Applications. In recent years, he has focused on Promotional Effect of Plant Based Silver Nanoparticles on the Performance and Long-term Stability of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells, Optimum Utilization of Solar Energy Technology and Optimization of Nanoparticles in Fabricating Improved Polymer Solar Cells Efficiency, Performance Analysis of Super-capacitors Based on Chemically Prepared Manganese – Oxide Thin Films Embedded with Nanoparticles.

He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines at local and International level. He was a Visiting Scholar in University Utara Malaysia between 2013 and 2015. Currently, he is a visiting Researcher and External Supervisor at postgraduate level in the Department of Fundamental Applied Sciences, University of Technology PETRONAS Seri Iskanda Perak, Malaysia. Sanusi served as a resource person for several Workshops and Seminars on Solar Energy Technology and Fabrication of photovoltaic solar cells. He is also active Consultant to SOLARVAT Nigeria Limited. Sanusi has over eighty (85) publications to his credit in highly reputable peer-reviewed journals. He serves on the Editorial Board of some academic journals. Sanusi is a member of Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Solar Energy Society of Nigeria (SESN) and Materials Society of Nigeria (MSN).

AZEEZ, Musibau Adewuyi is an academic staff at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He is an Applied Geneticist and Plant Breeder with vast experience in germplasm development, conservation and utilization. His works transcend plant biodiversity through hybridization to heterosis for cultivar development and improvement. He also conducts research in population genetics, medicinal plants and nanobiotechnology.

His drive for success was ingrained at early stage of his university education when he was pronounced the best student of science in 1991. As a pioneer student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, he was awarded scholarship for this brilliant performance by the Japanese ambassador to Nigeria. He finished B. Tech. on top of class with 2nd class upper division in 1997 and was awarded prizes for best student in science and biology.

He bagged M. Sc. and Ph.D. in Botany and Plant Biology from University of Ilorin in 2001 and 2010 respectively. Prof. Azeez joined Department of Pure and Applied Biology, LAUTECH, Nigeria in 1998 as a Graduate Assistant and rose to position of a Senior Lecturer in 2011. He was a DBT-TWAS Postdoctoral fellow in Nanobiotechnology at University of Pune, India (2013 – 2014) and Departmental Postgraduate coordinator from 2015 to 2022. He became Professor in 2017 and has published more than sixty articles in reputable journals. He was two times receiver of the Vice-Chancellor award of special recognition for distinguished accomplishment in outstanding scholarly publications and invaluable contribution to the outstanding performance of the University.

DUROWOJU, Modiu Olayinka is from Abeokuta, Ogun state. He graduated from the University of Lagos (B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering) in 1995. He then proceeded for his M.Sc degree at the University of Ibadan 1997, which he completed in the August 1998. He is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Dr Durowoju completed his PhD in the year 2009 at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. He joined Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH, as a graduate assistant in September 1998 and since then he has been teaching, conducting research and doing community service activities at LAUTECH. He is presently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at LAUTECH and he has to his credit over 80 publications both in local and international journals.

In 2014 he won the post-doctoral award fellowship of the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa and within the one-year duration of the fellowship he was able to publish seven research articles, one book chapter and two patents. He was also given the outstanding reviewers award by Powder Technology, a Journal published by Elsevier. In addition, he has mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students who are presently gainfully employed or pursing their postgraduate programs. Due to his brilliant performance, the fellowship was extended for another one year and presently he is holding the status of a research fellow with the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa.

BADMUS, Jelili Abiodun attended University of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria, where he bagged B. Sc and M.Sc degrees in the Department of Biochemistry in 2000 and 2003 respectively. He proceeded to the University of The Western Cape, South Africa on TETfund-Intervention program for his PhD degree in Molecular Oncology in 2011 and graduated in 2015.

Dr Badmus joined the service of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology as Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry in May, 2004. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals. His interest is in the use of natural bioactive antioxidant or alkaloid compounds/phytochemicals for the treatment of cancer.

In addition, he has bias in the assessment of environmental toxicant/ genotoxic using different biological signatures.

ADEDOKUN, Oluwaseun (Ph.D) is a lecturer at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He joined the University as a graduate Assistant in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics in November, 2009. He obtained B.Tech in Applied Physics (First Class Division), M.Tech in Solid State Physics (Distinction) in 2008 and 2012, respectively.

Dr. Adedokun was a CSIR-TWAS postgraduate fellow at CSIR-CGCRI Kolkata, India from June 2014 to May 2015. He later bagged his Doctoral of Philosophy (LAUTECH) in Energy and Solid State Physics in 2016. He completed his postdoctoral trainings at CSIR-CGCRI Kolkata, India; Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu, India; Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang in 2017, 2020 and 2023, respectively. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Physics (MNIP), American Chemical Society (ACS) and Nigerian Young Academy (NYA). His research focus is in the area of Nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, thin films technology, Photocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry, Renewable energy and Dye-sensitized Solar Cells. He has published more than forty (40) scientific papers in reputable journals.

AWODELE, Mojoyinola Kofoworola (PhD) is a lecturer at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Nigeria. She joined the University as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics in October 1998. She received B.Tech in Pure and Applied Physics in 1997 from LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, M.Sc in Physics from University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2002 and a PhD in Physics from Loughborough University, Loughborough UK in 2015 on Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) Scholarship.

She is a member of Nigerian Institute of Physics (MNIP) and Institute of Physics (IOP, UK). Her research interests include theoretical investigation of novel mechanisms for electron and spin transport in nanostructures, and electron transport in semiconductor superlattices. She has published many scientific papers in reputable journals.

Dr. Islamiyat Folashade Bolarinwa obtained B.Tech and MSc. (Food Science) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso (2004) and University of Ibadan (2008). In 2009, she was awarded the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) fellowship to study Ph.D at the University of Leeds, UK, where she obtained Ph.D in 2013.

She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences, LAUTECH.

Dr. Islamiyat Folashade Bolarinwa obtained B.Tech and MSc. (Food Science) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso (2004) and University of Ibadan (2008). In 2009, she was awarded the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) fellowship to study Ph.D at the University of Leeds, UK, where she obtained Ph.D in 2013. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences, LAUTECH.

Dr. Bolarinwa has been a principal investigator and co-investigator for two international grants (Innovate UK KTN) and one national grant. She has authored or co-authored more than 45 journal papers and 20 conference papers in international and national publishing outlets.

ADEWALE, Akeem Adekunle (Ph.D) is a lecturer at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He started his career as an Assistant lecturer in the Department of Physics and Materials Science in March, 2013 at Kwara State University, Malete, Nigeria. Presently, he is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Pure and Applied Physics, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.

He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Physics from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria in 2007 and 2011, respectively. He proceeded to the Universiti Malaysia Perlis for his PhD degree in Materials Engineering in 2016 and graduated in 2020.

Dr. Adewale was a Visiting Research Fellow (2020–2022) at Centre of Excellence (CoE), Frontier Material Research (FrontMate), Universiti Malaysia Perlis. He had been a reviewer in numerous outstanding journals including Heliyon and Materials Today Communications published by Elsevier. His research focus is in the area of Computational materials modelling, Renewable energy and Fabrication of Dye sensitized solar cells with a focus on improving efficiency of dye sensitized solar cells using nanoparticles. He has published more than twenty (20) scientific papers in reputable local and international journals.

OLAMOYEGUN, Michael Adeyemi is a Physician, Endocrinologist and Diabetologist, Epidemiologist and a Pharmacologist. He obtained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2002 as part of the pioneer set of LAUTECH medical graduates where he got awards as the best student in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Medicine.

He had his postgraduate residency training in internal medicine with sub-specialization in endocrinology and diabetology and qualified as a Fellow, West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in 2010. He was awarded fellowships of American College of Endocrinology (FACE) in 2015, and American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2019. He obtained two master degrees at Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife: Master in Public Health (MPH) in 2011 and M.Sc. in Pharmacology with distinction in 2021. In addition, he was a research fellow at Hasso Platner Institute, University of Potsdam, Germany in 2019.

He joined the Department of Medicine, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso Oyo State, Nigeria in 2012 as a Lecturer 1 and rose to position of Reader in October 2018. He is also a consultant Physician/Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, and Head, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism (EDM) Unit since 2012.

Dr. Olamoyegun has more than seventy-five (75) publications to his credit in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals. His major research focus includes cardiovascular diabetology, dyslipidaemia, ethno-medicinal use in diabetes management, prevention and management of diabetes foot ulcers, use of technology in diabetes management (tele-diabetes), and nanomedicine, especially its use in diabetes management.

As an astute researcher, Dr. Olamoyegun has won several awards and grants from many organizations including TETFUND, International Diabetes Federation (IDF), American Diabetes Association (ADA), and British Endocrine Society (BES) among others. He has also led many research activities. He is widely travelled to all the continents of the world but one where he had attended conferences and presented papers. He is currently the public relation officer (PRO) of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Society of Nigeria (EMSON).
